I found Scape's baby pictures!

I thought I'd lost the sketch I'd made of him on the dance floor at FWA07 but in going through a stack of papers tonight I found him =)

It was something like 1 o'clock in the morning and I was by myself over in a dark corner, sitting in one of the chairs along the wall of the dance floor. I was watching the glow stick stringers and enjoying the techno. Random fursuiters would come in and dance for a bit. I had my sketch book and pencil and had been waiting for inspiration. I had always told myself I was incapable of making a fursuit -besides where on earth do you begin? Earlier in the day I had gone to "fursuit making 101" and started wondering if indeed it could be done. I sat, bathed in electronic music and strobe lights, pondering whether a bike helmet could be used to start the head and attach horns to. Just a quick little doodle on the paper and I committed myself to finally bringing a dream to life.
The very Monday after FWA07 I went to walmart and bought some foam, fabric and sewing stuff.
Now tonight I write this, listening to Strand Tylosand by Basshunter which was playing on the dance floor while I sketched. Ahh, good times ;)

Why, it seems like yesterday we were drinking 'Goddamned Canadians' at the hotel bar at FWA eating juicy starbursts in our wetsuits.

Oh man I was trying to figure out how to work it into my journal entry that I had that (what I thought was) one cc&g but which turned out to be double and half frikkin' cc&g LOL and then I stumbled around the hotel for a while with you until you went to the Godlevel dinner haha! Anyways yeah man - I was having one while writing the journal entry too lol! Damn- I need to make some good coffee with my cc&g next time -oh, and can't forget the little stir straw ;)

ROFL! Well after having a few Canadian Club Whiskeys and Ginger Ale, I we got curious and I tried putting a little of my black coffee in it. And to our suprise it turned out awesome and I thought I had to come up with a name for this goddamned drink and thus 'Goddamned Canadian' was born. Hahahaha good times.

Far out! Going from concept sketch to reality! :-)
I love that when it happens. **wags tail**

When I visited home back in August 1999, I wanted to build a mallard duck costume. I drew some concept sketches( and still have them). My Mom said, why don't you be Gallagher with watermellons for Halloween. You will never be able to build that! I proved her wrong. :-P I so wish my grandmother was still alive to see my characters, I KNOW she would have loved them. In my AC-2005 skit when Wally 'n Zax did "Leader of the Band", the "Pappa" in the song for me would be my grandmother. :-)
Cheers,
---> Wally
