FWA -Boy did I learn a few things!
Well, first of all I will say that I had the time of my life. This is the most sentimental, fun, awesome good time I've ever had -I've never looked forward to something more. This year though, I am full of sadness. Since it was my first time attending a convention as a fursuiter -I discovered I really had no idea what I was doing, thus I missed many many opportunities to meet new friends and spend more time with old ones. One of my biggest regrets is not budgeting better time to get from place to place. Unfortunately I was in the mindset of getting ready for something fifteen minutes before hand which was 10 to suit up and 5 to walk there -so I really felt like I was hurrying everywhere with no time to stop and play or get photos. I don't want Scape to be remembered as just the waving goat. Next time It will be very different and a ton more fun! I gotta say Thank you once again to all the great performers I've met and am learning from -I love you guys very much and I want to make you proud -I just can't wait to see you again!! *hhhhugs* =) Fri, Feb. 22nd, 2008 06:24 pm (UTC)

Was so great meeting you! You are a very good suiter and an amazing pipes player. Dont worry about the rushed/ADD feeling, cons are like that. Theres always people i wish i could spend more time with and hang out with( like you!), but there just arent enough hours in a convention day. I adore your suit and your art. Im working on Rory husky's suit right now with your art, its fantastic concept art! Well, Lesson #1 is.....Cons are HORRIBLE places to meet people. This sounds silly, but it's true. It's good to meet up with friends and put faces to names you only see online, but if you spend any serious time interracting socially you miss huge chunks of the con, or vice-versa. That is why I generally prefer smaller cons, they do give you time to be social without missing a lot. For a con its size, FWA was actually very cozy and friendly - a very hard feat to pull off! After a few more Con experiences you will begin to find your comfort zone and figure out how much time you want to spend meeting people, vs how much you want to spend doing Con stuff. guaranteed! i would at least like to meet more people face to face even if just for a moment -i'll be more determined next time -even after all these years i'm still shy! I can't wait to meet you and Seaweed proper too! I will most likely have an engagement in hickory on sunday evenings. I could leave from there by perhaps 4:30 or 5:00 -do you think it would still be worth the drive? Well, I do not know how far Hickeory is from us. Normally I have Sundays off, but with inventory this week at our store, and a co-worker on vacation next week, our schedule is royally screwed up for the first half of this month. I am trying for a Sunday meet sometimes later in March though, just keep an eye on the list, I'll probably be posting something soon! Also, if you ever do visit, and need crash space, we do have an extra bed and a futon, so we can accomidate a few extra bodies. :) Sat, Feb. 23rd, 2008 02:21 am (UTC)
