Well today might have been a lucky day...

I have been able to pick up some new furniture for a deeply discounted price, possible 10% of the retail price of the furniture. There is some minor damage, somewhere on it but it's in really good condition, less than a year old.

It's chocolate brown and is leather ^_^. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get it home.

So... I really don't get much of a weekend.

I have to be in the office between 8pm and 9pm Saturday night to make sure all equipment is shutdown in the building as London Hydro will be turning off the power for 12 hours and we do not have generators nor UPSs that would last that long. Then approximately 9am, I have to be back to turn everything back on.

Sometime before or after, I have to do updates on the computers make any necessary changes, so on and so forth...

Other than that, if anyone is interested in doing something, please let me know.

Well basically I had to get new scissors since the last ones were butcher knife like. And the foam I was origionally using was way too thick for me (my hands are unusually small =/)
but I worked slowly on this one and managed something looking more like my character. Definately here for advice, but I do like how it had turned out so far. Ignore the kitty in the second foam head pic (he wanted on the internet XD)

I have been getting a few questions of what cons I'm going to, when schools starts, and generally WTF is up with you for the last half of the year??

Confirmed Cons:

August 28th - September 1st - Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA

November 21st - 23rd - MFF in Chicago, IL

January 21st - 26th - FC in San Jose, CA

March 19th - 22rd - FWA in Atlanta, GA


Potential Events:

School and work will be an issue here. Even some confirmed cons might be messed with if my new boss isn't as forgiving as my last was. Though, I guess worse case is from cons like MFF and FC, I may have to arrive on Friday or leave on Sunday if our staff meetings happen to be on Monday or Thursdays.

Now, get this. RA training for me is August 9th-20th. I have ONE day off in that entire time. The other days are usually 8am - 7pm or 9am - 9:30pm. And the ringer? For all those days and hours they are only paying up for 15 hours. So guh, fuck RA.

I move back to Orlando in early-mid August. I really, really, REALLY don't want to be an RA. I may have to suck it up for Fall. While I'm in O-town this weekend I'm gonna take Monday and Tuesday to hang around the UCF area and see if I could snag a part time job willing to toss me 15 hours a week.
If it turns out I can get a solid part time job for 8.00 or more an hour, and I can find roommates fairly quickly. Hell, I might be quitting my job as an RA and doing that for the fall. For the spring, for sure. I'm gonna do some numbers on housing/payment as an RA vs. part time pay and regular housing costs.

  For a Cartoon, least a cartoon Character.  Kero Beros    Kero Beros is a Large Yellow Cat who can have wings if he so chooses.  He is a protector of the the Cards, yadda, yadda, yadda.  This character is from the Cartoon CardCaptors.   The Cartoon itself does very little for me
but in the few times we see Kero Beros show up in his large form, I just love that.  It is one of the few cartoons I have seen that takes the time to give a cat Paw Pads also.

  He is also pretty funny also as seen in Eps 58 if you want to see that one on You tube or something.



  Let's see, a Big speaking cat, with wings,  and armor.  Who is a shapechanger and has wit.  What is there not to love.

i fixed the nose
found a mesh with much smaller holes for the upward view ports under the eyes
repainted pretty much the whole thing
fiexed the eyes are they were a tad crooked (they do look strait now right?!)
furred the cheeks
replaced the long white fur with shorter fur as it was too fluffy when placed with the body
 sooo.....

am i the only one bothered by the seam between the black marks under they eyes? i think i need to go in with some short trimmed off fur fibers and dap them on a bit of hot glue to fill in that gap

also i think i should give it some short thin black wiskers on the snout to add to the realisium, what do you think? do i even need wiskers?


 does it look better now?

and i should be done with the whole suit in a few days and i cannot wait to show you guys as i am just giddy with how well the paint job came out on the body and it has the best digigrade legs i have done so far

   Guess who this is about to attack the Poor Scruff E Coyote??  It will be interesting if anyone knows who it is.



   Another set of suiters who cooperated with an idea I had for a photo.  I loved doing this kinda of stuff.  I will have to see if I can get some fun suiters to want to be involved in this kinda of stuff.   I regret that I did not get the Werewolf to raise his right paw a little higher so you could see his face also.
